The Healers promise
We swear by the infinite powers of creation that we will fulfill, according to our abilities and judgment, this oath and covenant:
We vow to hold whom that teaches us healing arts as equal to family and to live life in partnership with them.
We will apply dietetic, herbal and energetic measures for the benefit of the sick according to our abilities and experiences. We will keep individuals that request our advice from harm and injustice at all cost.
We will neither give a deadly drug, nor will we make a suggestion to this
effect. In purity and holiness, we guard our lives, knowledge and art relentlessly.
We shall share the precepts, oral instruction and all other learnings to our
offspring and to sincere pupils
We will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will
withdraw in favor of such that are engaged in this work.
Whomever we visit for healing assistance, we will come for the benefit of
the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice & mischief.
What we see or hear in the course of our work in regard to people’s lives,
we will keep to ourselves, holding it shameful to be spoken aloud to any
outside party.
If we fulfill this oath and do not violate it; may we be granted an
honorable life of joy and abundance for all time to come;
If we transgress, swear falsely or abuse these precepts, may scarcity &
shame be our fate.
